So John, being the sweet husband that he is, surprised me with a week long trip to Oklahoma to visit all of our amazing friends. Of course, I ruined the surprise when I got mad at him for not doing anything for my real birthday….after fighting he ended up telling me. Sorry babe! Anyway, we had a great time and it was so nice to hang with our friends again…here are some highlights that were caught on camera:

When Malachi is quiet that is my cue to go check on him…lately it hasn’t always meant something bad, but this time it did:

He colored ALL over his bed…not just the sheets, but the bed frame too. As soon as I saw what he did he said “Ohh pretty!” I couldn’t help but laugh. Yes, his bed is now pretty but teaching this kid to only color on paper won’t be so pretty. Oh my life!

So, here it is…a whole week later….our Halloween Night!

We went to Chipotle with some friends and fam and got FREE Burritos for “dressing up like an item on the menu” AKA, putting some foil on us. Don’t we look like burritos?

After we stuffed ourselves it was time for some Trick-or-Treating!

One of the houses we stopped at had this amazing pirate ship with blue lights for water..turns out, they were a couple from our church! The pirate (the husband) is hiding in the back…They are awesome! (it looked WAY better in person..)

Instead of carving, we decided that letting Malachi paint his pumpkin would be a little easier and fun for him..

Of course we all died laughing, so he did it again and laughed.

I had to add a little more color to his purple face..

We started feeling a little left out not having paint on our faces….so us girls got Mouth Gardens!

So this is WAY late, but we took Malachi to Lombardi Ranch in Saugus, CA like the Sat before Halloween…

They had a trail you can walk through called “Scarecrow Ally” with tons of different “Scarecrow” Displays. They had everything from Hannah Montana to Addams Family…pretty fun!

While we stood in line for the Train Ride, Malachi decided to try and take out all of the pumpkins in the bin..

Not too happy about riding on the train….(it was someone’s nap time!)

He was good once we got going….or cuz he was with Daddy..

Then we headed over to the actual Pumpkin Patch to pick out our pumpkin..

He LOVED playing in all that dirt!

And he found one just his size…We actually ended up getting one way bigger!
